How do I write a letter to local businesses for donations of baskets/goodies for our 135th Alumni Banquet in June 2010. We are looking for baskets/goodies for “basket raffle”. Our alumni association is a non profit organization, and we have tax exemption EIN # – shall we add it on the letter too? I need help writing one up.

I have a cleaning service and am trying to branch out and clean more offices. I have tried to drop off cards, advertise in the paper and on my website. Now I am wondering if it is acceptable to email local businesses directly to offer services. A master list of emails would be fairly easy to compile and I would be able to reach EVERY business with an email.

is there any way to search for a list of local businesses email addresses online? I am doing some marketing and I need a list of a variety ( non specific) of business email addresses. I dont mean to try to get some information that is private, since most businesses have their email addresses on business cards etc. Anyone know how to go about getting a list??/

I am a member of a seventh-day adventist church in Philadelphia, PA. We have beed together for almost 17 yrs +, and we finally got our own building. I would offer many different options for business owners to choose. printing and distributing flyers or corner signs, running ads in the newspaper and online websites or radio. Pretty much anything to do with advertising/ promoting for local businesses owned by individuals (like lawn care, roofing, restraunt, hair salon etc.) What should I do to start my business and is this a stupid idea?
