My husband is stuck in a terrible job (like half the country!) and he’s always wanted to own his own business, but he’s not sure of what he wants to do… I was wondering if anyone has ever had their own business, and if so, what do you do? Also, has anyone been successful w/ a business from home? Thanks!

I might be fired from my job. How do I cope with being fired?

My Dad was fired twice. For eight years, he worked for a business and he was fired. He worked for a different business for six years and he was fired for arriving 30minutes late on a single day. The first business he worked for hired him again. My Dad said, “when you get fired, it is not always fair.”

Do businesses look down on people who are fired? How do I cope with being fired?

I recently moved back to the east coast after spending 20 years on the west coast (USA). In San Francisco I was a chef and made a good living. It is considered a profession there but where I moved to, it is more of a low paying job. If I am going to continue to stay where I am, I have to do something else.
