It takes a lot of work to build traffic to a website. You need to decide on how you will earn revenue. Advertising / affiliate marketing is the most common model (takes lots of traffic) or sell your own products / services.

you can start your blog (enewsletter) by writing about things which you like to do. It will be only good if you dont think about making money in the beginning and jsut try to get readers attention and lots of them. Later you can use different methods to make money from your blog.
