I set up an online store, T.H.E.store – www.cafepress.com/thestorehk, and I would like to promote my small business to worldwide. One of the methods I want to use is email marketing but I don’t have any receivers’ email address. So, where I can get ibulk email addresses without paying ?

It is very interesting to me when I am doing some research on different network marketing business, I found many website and respond pointing out that business such as Amway, Market America, Southern living…etc is a scam. Most of the respond is base on personal experience or story they have heard. However Better Business Bureau rate those business such as Amway (A+), Market America (B+), Southern living (A)? I understand that BBB is not a government agency, however I do give more credibility to BBB than someone I never met before. And business this well-known surely will be shut down by the government if they are scam, right?
I believe that people who take the time to respond or even make a website have to be good people, people who is trying to help someone from doing things they believe is bad.

I’m looking into starting a small business but apparently banks don’t loan to startups and there aren’t gov’t grants available for startups either. How do i go about getting the financing together? Are there any good resources? I am writing the business plan now.

I have a small business doing Medical Continuing education. As the owner I have tried to handle all important aspects including marketing up to now. I’m at a point now where I’ve added to our website a job board, and will soon being adding email newsletters & featured ad space. I can no longer do a successful job myself, so here are my questions:

1.) If I’m paying someone commision only, what is the average draw they should receive?
2.) Is it better to hire someone part-time within the company or to try to hire an outside marketing firm?
3.) If hiring an outside firm, where do I find them, as I won’t have a lot of work to offer them.

Not sure it matters, but the business is “decentralized” so everyone would work out of their own space/home.

When I send out business emails on Microsoft Outlook it goes into the spam folders of Yahoo users. How do I prevent this or get around it? I see some companies have a Gmail account that says “on behalf of” there company .com name. Is that their way of getting around going into spam folders?
