You can not focus on that a whole lot.
You create a unique niche to your business so it will blossom.
i would just do a home based business. at least i don’t have to worry about the rent, utilities already included in my own home. i would join a high credibilty of the already existing company to be on the safe side.

Normally you would canvase the area, you could drive around or look in the phone book. Or you could try this business
Because they believe they have a better product then the others.
It doesn’t matter if there are a hundred cookie stores next to me, because if I have the best value, the customers come to me.
If I burn a batch of cookies, its going to be a long day retaining customers, so I don’t do that often.
Have a good product, fair price, knowledgeable staff and good customer relations and you don’t have to worry about competition.
Don’t worry about the other guy, keep your house in order and they will come………:)
